Why has my veterinarian prescribed this medicine?

Ammonium chloride is used to make the urine more acidic, to dissolve certain types of urinary stones, to enhance the excretion of certain types of drugs or to enhance the efficacy of some antibiotics when treating urinary tract infections.



How do I give this medication?


What if I miss giving a dose?

Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give the pet two doses at once.
